Szeretnék Mindenkinek kellemetes, boldog,
illatfelhős, termékeny húsvétot kívánni!
Itt az én nyulam :)
English version:
Although there are chocolate bunnies with various
size in the shops I did not realize any existing Hungarian-like tradition of Easter
in New Zealand.
In Hungary on Easter Monday boys and fathers get
up early and visit houses where girls and women from their circle of friends are
living. Girls and women are waiting for them in nice –in some regions of
Hungary in a traditional- clothes.
After a short, often humorous poem recitation, girls
and women are sprinkled with parfume (the real tradition is cold water from fount)
by the boys who get painted eggs, chocolate and cookies in return.
Easter and eggs are the celebration of the prolification
and the life.
Before Easter there is a 40 day long lent period (Quadragesima), so Easter
comes with orbital stuffing and drinking. I do not want to start the explanation
of the religious background, if you are interested in it please take a tour on
Easter wiki!
Happy Easter to Everyone! Upper you can see my bunny rabbIT! :)
